As the heat of summer peaks and we look ahead to the cooler days of autumn, the Two Piers team, led by Erica D'Eramo, has been busy with a range of exciting activities and future plans. This update provides a glimpse into what we've been up to, the projects we're currently involved in, and what's on the horizon.

Embracing the Summer and Anticipating Autumn

August has brought the full swing of summer activities in Maine, with everyone enjoying the sunshine and various outdoor events. However, the season's intensity has also brought a sense of exhaustion, making the prospect of autumn's cooler days and vibrant foliage a welcome thought.

The Three Pillars of Two Piers' Work

At Two Piers, our work revolves around three main pillars: leadership coaching, consulting, and workshops. Each of these areas has seen significant activity and growth, with a focus on supporting underrepresented groups and fostering inclusive work environments.

Leadership Coaching

Our leadership coaching has primarily focused on individuals transitioning from technical roles—such as engineering, trade, or architecture—to leadership positions. This transition often involves a shift from being a hands-on expert to taking on strategic and managerial responsibilities. Our coaching helps these leaders develop the skills needed to set visions, manage teams, and navigate the complexities of office politics and organizational dynamics.

Consulting Services

In our consulting work, we've partnered with organizations across various industries. Our approach involves helping companies set clear visions and goals, particularly around employee engagement and creating inclusive cultures. We emphasize the importance of a representative workforce and the need to build trust and inclusivity within organizations. Our clients value our ability to provide tailored solutions that align with their specific needs and goals.

Workshops and Training

Two Piers offers a variety of workshops designed to support individuals and teams. These include sessions on leadership development, navigating difficult conversations, and fostering inclusive work environments. Notably, we provide Spanish-language workshops, making our offerings accessible to a broader audience. One of our key collaborations is with Gutier, a large industrial construction company, where we deliver leadership workshops and support the Gutier Women's Network.

Looking Ahead: Upcoming Projects and Collaborations

We're excited about several upcoming projects, including our participation in the Women Offshore Foundation's Inclusion Summit in September. In collaboration with Tanya Tarr of Cultivated Insights, we'll be facilitating a workshop on inclusive leadership, focusing on topics like positive psychology, adaptive leadership, and creating psychologically safe workplaces.

Our podcast has featured a wide array of guests this season, discussing topics like cultural humility and financial freedom. With a full lineup of guests planned for the rest of the year, we're eager to continue providing valuable insights to our listeners. Additionally, we're revamping our newsletter to offer more concise and relevant content, making it easier for our audience to stay informed.
